Yeah there are number of problems with force-feedback. Unfortunately they won't
be fixed for wine-1.0. There are number of things that have to be changed and
those changes are too dangerous while in code freeze.

i dont know to much but i do know gameguard "injects" itself into the windows
kernel drivers and dlls. i can generate a list of every dll (including the
kernel) if anyone wants it. However firstly u cant just compy and past a
maplestory or other game instillation. remove that idea no it doesnt work.
Gameguard installs drivers to a windows instillation without user consent or
knowledge. tht driver needs to be installed in registry and in win32 so the
installer is mandatory. Cedega has a fix to install large EXE's (like
maplestory)so using that to install maple removes that problem but it the
cedega directory need to be imported to wines config file.
low latency kernel support is needed as well, if low end kernel support is not
present gameguard has nothing to inject into.
if anyone wants that list of DLL's and drivers message me

I am not experiencing the deterioration comment #8 is. The bug hasn't gotten
any worse in 1.0-rc2 for me, but it still exists.
