Disregard that, I'm a hallucinogenic fool who needs more sleep. Sorry for
this.

Unfortunately I run Ubuntu Gutsy and a build has not been created for it. I'll
have to wait for 1.0 final (I think that is when I'll see a Gusty build).

Summary: Wine Direct X 7 bug in Midtown Madness 2
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: imamdxl8805(a)gmail.com
Dear Wine Developers,
Good afternoon, Iam a regular Linux User and I love winE very much since I came
to know about it. I mostly use wine for my gaming experience. I play many games
with it. But today Iam going to tell about a favorite game, Which I am trying
to play with Wine.
The game is:
Microsoft Midtown Madness 2.
The game uses Direct X version 7.
The entire game runs fine without any disturbance.
The Sound is OK.
The 3D graphics is OK.
The Keyboard and Mouse Input is OK.
The game starts without any custom wine settings.
But the main problem is related to 2D graphics.
I have added the game's screenshot because picture is sometimes more worth then
text.
I have used WINE VERSION 1.0-rc3.
Sincerely
MD.IMAM HOSSAIN
Wine should replace M$ Windows.

Have you tried the version Dan did? It could've been fixed on their end...
