Patch to reegister DirectPlay8ThreadPool object
This patch registers the DirectPlay8ThreadPool object, removing the need for
registering the native dpnet.dll. The games still require that dll to run,
though; the next step will be to add it in DllGetClassObject

The DirectPlay8 object the game tries to create is DirectPlay8 Thread Pool
Object
I'll see if I can get our dpnet to register that

Pawel,
thanks a lot for this workaround!!!
It works great!!!
(In reply to comment #10)
> Another workaround is to patch the installer executable from ROC CD. You need to
> copy ROC CD contents to a temporary location and edit Install.exe in a hex
> editor (e.g. ghex2). Go to offset 0x11326 and replace value 75 with EB,
> save&exit and execute it. The installer for FT doesn't need to be patched.

Since wineprefixcreate is deprecated, here are some new instructions on how to
get it working:
Place the DirectPlay dlls from the archive in Wine's windows/system32 folder
start winecfg and add overrides for dplayx, dpnhpast, dpnet, dpwsockx
run 'wine regsvr32 dpnet.dll'

Can you give us the steps to reproduce? Remember, we're not Flash experts, we
need a bit of handholding.
(I see you haven't replied in a month.
If you don't reply by August 21st, this bug will be marked ABANDONED.)
