Errors when starting a new game from the Outcast menu.
Hello,
If Outcast is now running perfectly in Wine except mouse problems (Bug 6971), I
must use a native amstream.dll file in order to start playing from the outcast
menu.
You can find in the attachment 4 logs :
1) errors before I saw the menu (not important at all)(in Outcast game and
demo)
2) errors when I start a new game with the amstream.dll file included in wine
(Crash)(in Outcast game).
3) errors when I start a new game with the native amstream.dll file (in Outcast
game).
4) errors when I start a new game with the amstream.dll file included in wine
(maybe crash)(in Outcast demo 1)
Thank you very much for all your work!

Log of running "wine python.exe -c 'import sqlite3'"
wine python.exe -c "import sqlite3" generates a stack trace (attached below)
Using Python 2.5.2. This basically loads a DLL entitled _sqlite3.pyd, which I
presume later loads sqlite3.dll (but not sure whether this load has already
started - the error seems to be in loading _sqlite3.pyd)

With current Git (wine-1.0-rc1-147-g3d5ea20), pressing the Create New Timetable
button in the application should spawn a wizard dialog, but when the
application is run as a managed window, the wizard dialog cannot be given
focus. If a different application has focus, the wizard appears in the
application window, but still cannot be given focus. Running the app with the
window managed by Wine causes the wizard to work normally.

Summary: Cannot insert pictures from file due to rapid folder
switching in Office 2007
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc1
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: zachary(a)stewarts.net
In all currently working Office 2007 apps (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel),
choosing Insert and then clicking the Insert Picture button causes the file
chooser dialog to open. When it opens, the folder that it is supposed to look
in switches back and forth between My Documents and Desktop, or whatever the
last two chosen folders were. The switching never ends, and because of the
switching, no file is displayed. Manually typing the name of the file will not
allow it to be inserted, even if it exists in both folders.
Interestingly enough, this switching occurs only when the cursor is above the
Word (or Publisher, or PowerPoint, or whatever) window, and it switches faster
the faster the cursor moves. If the mouse is hovered above another window, say
a console window, the switching stops. No files are viewable, however.
It appears as though every switch, it throws the following error:
fixme:shell:SHGetFileInfoW SHGFI_OVERLAYINDEX unhandled
This bug is bad for Word, but in my opinion cripples Publisher and PowerPoint.

turns to black because of a directx error. Furthermore the demo (included in

errors.

wined3d: Add read_from_framebuffer_texture which combines code from
read_from_framebuffer (drawpixels) and LoadLocation.
This makes the code easier to read and the pieces borrowed from
read_from_framebuffer are more correct than the code in LoadLocation.

The regression wasn't present in wine-0.9.54 and as far as i know was added
between that version and the 0.9.59.
Logs i got don't seem to tell anything interesting. Let me know if you need
logs (with the options i have to use) or screenshots.

Transcript of game run, complete with backtrace
After the very long opening sequence, at the point where control is handed to
the player, Blade Runner crashes. Unfortunately, I can't report a great deal
more: I'm sorry to add to the thousands of largely worthless bug reports here.
This is on Hardy Heron with wine 0.9.59 + an ATI workaround patch, and with an
ATI Radeon X1650 graphics card (this data really ought to be a bug field!).

Summary: Forte Agent crashes when using Freefont 20080323
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.60

ReportedBy: ovek(a)arcticnet.no
Perhaps Wine's TrueType engine is corrupting memory when loading the new
Freefont version in Debian unstable. Marc Haber reports:
"when ttf-freefont 20080323-2, I cannot write usenet posts with Forte
Agent running in wine: After hitting "F)ollowup", the application
freezes. "P)ost" works.
After going back to the ttf-freefont from testing, things are fine
again."
There's a backtrace in the Debian bug report (follow the URL link), but I
suppose you'll want to ask for logs too?
