I have ubuntu 7.1 with latest patches and gnome. I have followed up the instructions of how to setup .NET framework on this link :http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3754 I have applied all extra ideas from it : cp /media/disk/WINDOWS/system32/l_intl.nls .wine/windows/system32 cp /media/disk/WINDOWS/Fonts/* .wine/windows/fonts/ Modified [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NetFramework\Policy\AppPatch\v[SOMETHING].00000] to [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NetFramework\Policy\AppPatch\v2.0.50727.00000] cp /media/disk/WINDOWS/system32/mscoree.dll .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/ cp "/media/disk/WINDOWS/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0/unicows.dll" .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/ start it up : .wine/drive_c/Program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/wine NWN2ToolsetLauncher.exe <clip> fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x7cf07fcc,0x00000000), stub! Segmentation fault (core dumped) attachement bt shows this in detail. BUT if I remove fonts, e.g. cd .wine/drive_c/windows mv fonts fontsorig Toolkit Window rises up nicely, albeit with garbage instead of text on the file. And after a while it starts to complain about pasrseURL : fixme:shell:URL_ParseUrl failed to parse L"NWN2Toolset.resources" and finally crashes on : fixme:variant:VarDecFix semi-stub! fixme:variant:VarDecFix semi-stub! fixme:shell:URL_ParseUrl failed to parse L"" [1]+ Segmentation fault (core dumped) It looks like it cannot find resource files. Could core dump be caused by it ? Any ideas of how to proceed ? We're both using .9.54 from the ubuntu repos. He has an integrated intel card and is using the restricted drivers that shipped with Kubuntu. We've tried the fixes listed on the app db. Program: C:\Programme\WarcraftIII\war3.exe Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0073:7E7E1FD6F5 The instruction at '0x7E1FD6F5' referenced memory at '0x00000010'. The memory could not be 'read'." It must be a Problem with wine because it's working good till version 0.9.48. It's not working with wine versions 0.9.49 - .52. I have an Intel X31000 (GMA965) integrated graphic card and Ubuntu 7.10 32-Bit installed (but I get the same error also with Arch Linux). I've attached what the terminal says. I was willing to report the trace of the program without dcom98 installed, so I figured out that deleting "~/.wine" could be a good idea to start over. So I deleted it and then ran "wineconfig" to configure drive paths again, a message box appeared (screenshot attached) telling me that it will create "~/.wine" again, I cliked "Ok" ("Aceptar") and then I saw an output in the console about several errors.
