WINEDEBUG=+loaddll,+module wine ....TacticalOps.exe
Tactical Ops 3.5 is a Total Modification of Unreal Tournament 99.
This game was a Gold in 0.9.55 and in 0.9.56 is complete Garbage.
It gives the next errors and doesn't open at all:
err:advapi:service_control_dispatcher pipe connect failed
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk "Core.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for
L"Z:\\home\\data\\Juegos\\Tactical Ops 35\\System\\TacticalOps.exe" failed,
status c0000005
Sadly this is the only game that i play, so i will have to go back to 0.9.55.
Core.dll is a dll located together with the .exe. Is part of the Unreal Engine,
so i think that any Unreal Engine based game will work on wine 0.9.56, and
those, all golds will become garbarge.
I leave you with some logs.

I've just replaced Ubuntu Gutsy with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu I've had no
problems running LFS via Wine (the latest versions). However when running it in
Debian Etch, LFS freezes as soon as I click the "Agree" button in the Agreement
screen (the screen just after selecting the driver name). At this point I am
forced to alt-tab back to the terminal and close LFS from there.
The only thing that looks out of the ordinary is a fixme message repeated more
than a dozen times when the Agree button is clicked (the message does not
appear before that action):
fixme:d3d:unloadNumberedArrays >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_ENUM (0x500) from
glDisableVertexAttribArrayARB(rgb) @ state.c / 2913
Note that this fixme did NOT occur when running LFS under Ubuntu 7.10 with Wine
0.9.55.
The latest Wine version available for Debian Etch is 0.9.55. I've tried running
LFS using 53 and 54, but encountered the identical problem.

Once Skype 3.6 is installed, it will pop up with the first run "Sign up"
screen. If you close that and then click on the field that says "Skype Name"
it will crash. If you tab to that field, after pressing a few characters it
will also crash.

The game does not work in Wine 0.9.55 (graphics are completely trashed and
distorted - rest of the game is fine). It's a regression, since I got it to
work perfectly some time ago (may have been Wine 0.9.52 or 0.9.53 maybe). Some
recent changes to D3D broke it probably.
I am running wine-0.9.55, kernel 2.6.23.16, Gentoo Linux (x86).
Here is what I have in the shell, as it's pretty short I'll still paste it
here, hope it's ok.

I use Fedora 8 and wine 0.9.55, but I get the bug with older versions too.
A description of the bug can be found here :
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-March/026538.html
Note :
1. This bug seems to be exactly the same I got running Panzer General
under Windows XP, without having activated the "Win 95/98 compatibility mode"
of the desktop shortcut.
But even if I say to Wine to emulate Win 95 or 98, it fails.
2. This bug is also reproductible under Windows 95/98 if you don't have the
original game CD in your drive when launching the game.
3. I have the legal CD (I bought it)

Summary: DAZ: New style of 3D content installer from DAZ fails
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.53.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

The new version of the Victoria 4 model, namely Victoria 4.2, has a different
windows executable installer than previous content files from this vendor.
Previous content installers worked without problems. The content is intended
for use in Poser
(http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=115) and DAZ
Studio (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1998).
The Victoria 4.2 installer exits with the message "Error reading INI file in
\DAZ\dzInstall.ini" in a dialog box, preventing the installation of the new
content files. No log is available, AFAIK.
This is the product whose installer fails:
http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/shop/itemdetails/-/?item=4783&cat=350
I am running wine 0.9.53 because DAZ Studio reportedly does not run correctly
under 0.9.54 or 0.9.55 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11341).

In english (excuse my poor english, I hope you will understand the problem) :
For 2 months, I have been using wine0.9.49 to run foobar2000.
It was perfectly working.
When I updated wine to the newest version (0.9.54), foobar2000 ran normaly (I
could play music, stop, rewind, etc with appropriate keys), but it remained
minimized in the tray icon without possibility to maximize it ! In fact,
thought the program was running, I couldn't see any foobar2000 window.
It would be great if you could correct this issue !
In the meantime, I went back to the 0.9.49 version :(

En français :
Pendant 2 mois, j'ai utilisé wine pour faire fonctionner foobar2000.
Cela marchait parfaitement.
