This program uses parts of gdiplus which is not implemented yet. Running without a native gdiplus.dll does not work at all. With a native gdiplus.dll it worked fine with 0.9.52, after some workarounds with the font registry as described in the AppDB entry. With 1.0 however, as soon as one tries to enter a text string one gets an error window: Access violation at address 70D375A4 in module 'gdiplus.dll'. Read of address 00000048. My wine version at the moment of test was 1.13. The problem is that the application launches correctly (in both versions of the software) you can even play with the default settings the program loads upon being launched. As soon as the user tries to access any of the menus in the application, (to choose a different type of game for example or change the software preferences) Fritz 10 and 11 stop responding, displays the error message i attached in the image which comes out of a pop up window and also freezes ubuntu (as in it locks up the entire ubuntu system) . The only thing it lets me do is a CTRL-ALT-Backspace, which logs me off. When i log back in, everything gets reset.
