Summary: Cursor incorectly drawn in Dungeon Siege
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.60
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: roderick.greening(a)gmail.com
While not critical, it is quite annoying. The cursor is drawn without
transparency (appears black). Then, while moving the cursor, it inherits
artifacts from various parts of the screen. This gets in the way of the game,
as it is a "point-n-click" game and you need to be able to accurately click on
objects. I have died more than once due to this bug.
This happens with all 0.9.x releases up to 0.9.60 and including the most recent
git version.
I would like to assist in resolving, but I need some guidence as to how to
track down the issue. I assume the program is using a software cursor and the
code in DirectX8 related to that would be a good starting point.

Summary: Team Fortress 2 hangs with looping sound after random
time, say 5 mins
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.18
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: michael(a)araneidae.co.uk
Team Fortress 2 hangs with looping sound after a random amount of play,
typically no more than five or ten minutes. The hang seems to occur at
particularly busy points in the game.
When asked, Steam link to this page:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5034-EIPV-6426
which suggests that the problem is running out of "paged pool". Unfortunately
the rest of this link is Windows specific.
My environment is:
Ubuntu 8.10 (with all PulseAudio components uninstalled)
ATI Radeon X1650 graphics with Catalyst 9.3 drivers

I've got a workaround. See attachments!
1. use a crack
2. automatically create a graphics profile
3. edit the generated TDR2000.gfx in the game root dir
What to edit:
1. change second line to "0"
2. optionally change third line to select another graphics profile (e. g. "2")
3. change forth line to "0"
4. change the selected resolution for every profile in the file
There is a line "1,2" at the end of each resolution list and in the next line
stands the selected resolution. I selected for my 22" TFT 1680,1050,16,0 and
the result is that I can play the game in 3D at 50 Hz 1680x1050.
My config:
- AMD Athlon X2 5400
- Nvidia Geforce 7900GS (driver from Nvidia)
- wine 1.1.4 CrossOver Games 7.1.2 winXP Profile
