This applies to every wine app I've tested - not just winecfg as in the screenshot. This bug seems to have appeared in Wine 1.0. As I couldn't find a bug for this eye-catching drawing error in the database, I think it might have something to do with my setup: I'm using Ubuntu/hardy and tried all precompiled binaries of the Wine 1.1.x series. I also deleted my $HOME/.wine directory to have a clean wine configuration. My version is Millenium (Release 11) for portuguese speakers, but i beleave that the same error occours to versions for other languages. Adjusting the sound effects volume cut out the background music and created a repeated buzzing/popping sound. Other Popcap games (Bookworm Adventures, Alchemy, Bejeweled 2) all play audio fine from my testing.
