Summary: listview doesn't redraw the area right from the
rightmost column
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: comctl32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: matthias.kupfer(a)informatik.tu-chemnitz.de
The problem is caused in LISTVIEW_Refresh around "if (prcErase) {". Almost all
WM_PAINT messages use NULL for prcErase, therefore the background isn't repaint
correctly, because the columns are redrawn by an iterator and the remaining
space seems to be left unattanded... An unconditional
LISTVIEW_FillBkgnd(infoPtr, hdc, clientrect); could solve the problem, but I'm
not sure, if this is an appropriate suggestion.

Summary: Wile playing DOMO, game loads, and runs, but textures
are ruined, and there is no mouse function
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P4
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: katsumishiokawa(a)hotmail.com
I just downloaded the newest version on wine earlier today, but when trying to
play DOMO, an online game, it appears to run normal while it is downloading the
files needed from the site, but when the game window comes up, most of the time
it is a black window. every couple of frames I see some o fthe textures, but
they aren't right at all. and when moving the mouse over the window, it
disappears. I am able to click on the buttons, but it takes alot of attempts
before it regesters me clicking on them, and this is also hard to do, since I
cannot see the mouse at all while it's over the game window, while the mouse
appears just fine over any other part of the screen.
Also, I could not close the game afterwards, and in trying to close it, my
computer slowed down to the point that I had to restart my computer to do
anything.
Since I'm new to this, I don't know any of the technical stuff so if any more
information is needed, just tell me where to look for it.

Summary: All sound broken in Hinterland
Product: Wine

WINEDEBUG="+dsound" log with Hinterland
I've tested this in 1.1.12 and latest GIT, as well as latest GIT + the patch
from bug 16832 (which fixes a minor crash bug).
On run, Hinterland starts and loads the company logo in the window, and then
transitions to a white screen (which I presume is supposed to be something
else, but that fails to render), at which point, horrible static-like noise
begins blaring from the speakers.
If you've applied the patch mentioned above, clicking once in the white will
load the main menu, instead of crashing. The horrible static-like noise
persists with no apparent variation. It continued to persist until I disabled
sound output in the Options menu.
Having attempted to play the game with sound enabled, there are some apparent
variations in sound once gameplay begins, and I heard the noise for buttons
being pressed once or twice when I did so.
I'll attach the WINEDEBUG="+dsound" log, but it's rather large, so I'll be
attaching it as a bz2.

wine error log
My Lineage 2 crashes when I select server and press to connect. No error
windows, nothing. It's a private server, all files updated. I think it's a bug.
but cant test it, no knowledge. Maybe files engine.dll and nwindow.dll are
causing this?
I can provide additional info if you need.
Thanks.

strange enough it comes into wine 1.X.XX again.
this is the old link where Roderick Colenbrander talked about it:

I just see a black srceen instead of the movies while the music is played with
glitches. I found reports in the web that it is working with an nvidia graphic
card. I'm using an ATI graphic card with fglrx. Maybe it is an issue between
wine and fglrx.

Hi,
I have installed openSuse 11.1, which uses wine 1.1.11. I had already used wine
with openSuse 10.3 which, I think, had the version 1.0.
I have a dictionary for windows which doesn't work well in wine 1.1.11 but it
worked with a small problem, but not so big, in 1.0.
As in all dictionaries, the explanation of a word is shown in a text box. When
the explanation is too long the text box automatically wrap the words or it
shows a horizontal scollbar or something equivalent so as to read the rest
text. This doesn't happen in my case. For example let say that the text box has
5 cm width
This is a very long long long long long long long
long long long long long long long long long long
long long long long long long long long long long
long long long long long long long long long long
long long long long long long long long long long
text.
In my case, after the first sentence nothing is shown since everything is
hidden. The problem is not only that the words are not wrapped but also that
the cursor doesn't move on so as to reveal the hidden words.
I didn't have this problem in wine 1.0. What I had was that although the words
were wrapped when the text reached the hight of the toolbox everything again
were hidden. Nevertheless, I could move the cursor downwards and see the rest
text.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem has been fixed with the code:
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
sh ./winetricks riched20
