I tested the GRE Powerprep software on wine 1.1.20. Clicking on "Practice
Questions" and "Practice Tests" does not crash wine. However, instead the
software will popup an error box saying "Error launching TDA, Code = 2". So,
although the crash does not happen, the software is still not usable.
I do not remember what version (probably at or after wine 1.0), but I used this
software with wine and it DID work reasonably correctly. The only problem was
during the practice tests the pictures would not display.

Summary: Wine can't run any D3D application on x86_64
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.20
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P1
Component: -unknown

Hello,
Recently I've installed new Fedora 11 64-bit. On this system everything in 3D
works fine (starting from glxgears ending on Sauerbraten). WINE D3D apps don't
work at all, show this error message:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 128 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
Value in failed request: 0x21
Serial number of failed request: 467
Current serial number in output stream: 467
2D apps work properly (eg. winecfg). WINE was compiled without gphoto2 support,
every other dependency was satisfied. WINE was compiled as a 32-bit app in
64-bit system.
I am putting this as Major, because F11 ships with the new X-Server and I
believe this is the problem here - it affects wide range of applications if
user is using most recent xserver. No problems with 3d acceleration though
(sauerbraten works). glxinfo shows direct rendering: yes.

I checked a windows-installation of Paradise Poker, no gs3functioninterface.dll
to be found. I used run Paradise Poker on 0.9.45 on an opensuse box, so there
may be a regression problem. I tried to bisect, but i failed (i am a
linux-newbie after all ;). hth.

Unfortunately this bug still exists in 1.1.20
I'm considering to attempt to write a work-around in MSL (mIRC Scripting
Language) - Not sure if it's completely possible though.

I don't see where this information from RCC can help us here.
I thought that we agreed that the problem is how NaN are mapped when written to
the color output register. As far as I can see rcp doesn't clamp his result.
That's in agreement with the D3D8 docs.

Summary: Adobe Photoshoop CS4 installer fails
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.6
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: Installer
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: shdocvw
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
With today's wine from git, three problems keep photoshop cs4 from installing.
First, it downloads gecko, but hangs afterwards; you have to ^C and
restart the installer.
Second, dialogs are often painted with three-quarters of the content missing,
and the remaining quarter misplaced. Moving the dialog offscreen and back
on usually fixes this. So this is both a showtopper for the
average user and a cosmetic problem.
Third, the very first dialog that is shown is mostly blank. Jacek
knows why: our gecko engine is out of date, and can't handle negative
values on some css properties. He came up with a simple workaround:
when this happens, kill the installer (with wineserver -k),
then edit
.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common
Files/Adobe/Installers/d6da2ba33e237f559e70b443726029b/resources/media/css/main.css
and replace the line
z-index:-10;
with the line
z-index:0;
That's easy to do by cd'ing into .wine and applying the attached
patch with "patch -p0".
After that, the installer runs successfully to completion.
(It uses 350MB of RSS; anyone know how much RAM it uses on Windows?)

Not sure, the version of wine (1.1.20) from winehq for Ubuntu jaunty always
crashes (I haven't had time to debug it yet).
