After I first launched the game it claimed that d3dx9_25.dll could not be found. So I downloaded it from this url: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_25 I moved it to: ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal Combat/ I launch the game with this command: cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Programme/3000AD/Universal\ Combat env WINEDEBUG=fixme-all WINEPREFIX="~/.wine" wine "C:\Programme\3000AD\Universal Combat\uc.exe" The game has to be launched from the install directory because otherwise it claims the the config files can not be found. After executing the command sometimes a black game window appears without changing and sometimes it does not. But the error messages from wine are always the same and can be found in the attachment. My tests show that, under Wine, only HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes gets merged into HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Some applications install registry keys only under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes. These keys won't appear in the merged view, and will be missed by tools that look at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
