I tried both the patches and it seems they work to a certain degree because the
frequency of GNUTLS errors has decreased.
I'm not proficient with running winedbg... so if someone could tell me the
exact command to run in order to get logs... then I'll be able to assist more.
Thanks.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #2367 +++
The installer for Lord of Destruction fails when trying to patch d2char.mpq.
The bug is apparent in the recent CVS and 20040615 versions of wine.
To reproduce this bug:
1) Install Diablo II. I've experienced the problem with both the multiplayer
and full installation levels. I'd recommend using the multiplayer install just
because its faster.
2) Attempt to install the Lord of Destruction Expansion. About midway through
the process the bug presents itself.
If you are using 20040615, the installer will appear to freeze after copying
the
file c:\Program Files\Diablo II\xreadme.htm
If you are using cvs, an additional error window will appear that displays the
following message:
Setup was unable to add the following file to c:\Program Files\Diablo
II\d2char.mpq:
binkw32.dll
Error 0x85200064:
(P:\Data\D2\TOOLS\Diabinst\Source\MpqUtil.cpp:32)

The demo works for me on wine-1.1.22-365-g1643679. I'm using
Worms2Demo23Feb98i.zip as the installer.
When I start the game, it switches to fullscreen. Keyboard controls and mouse
work.
After I quit, the screen gets set back to the original resolution.

Quick and drity txDraw rebased to commit 1643679476
OK. All tests (very crude ones) are now in Alexandre's branch.
I rebased the patch again and it _seems_ to work in a semi usable way. Some of
the wrapping isn't quite right, and I get the message:
fixme:richedit:fnTextSrv_TxDraw 0x2f97ba8: Unsupported non-NULL lViewId -1
quite a bit. But on the whole it would be usable if bug 3254 was fixed.
