Log
As reported in the comments.
I have installed Civ4 and the warlords expansion so far. I installed the DX9
patch and the missing librairies as mentioned, however I cannot find the
librairies I am supposed to delete in the game directory. Are they hidden?
Both games produce these errors at startup:
Error locating tag node in SetGlobalClassInfo function
Current XML file is : GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml
Error locating tag node in SetGlobalClassInfo function
Current XML file is : GameInfo/CIV4GraphicOptionInfos.xml
And afterwards the game vanishes. A log from the original CIV4 game is included

Crash from DAoC at loading screen.
Hi!
I'm playing dark age of camelot with wine and would like to select to newer
models (catacombs models).
When I enable pixel shaders from winecfg, DAoC crashed just after the character
selection screen is loaded.
I managed to get the crash dump from a terminal ( see atachment ).
Thanks for helping out!
Kevin

I see. Didn't try it by myself. Yes, DAO is a rather old class set, was
replaced by ADODB I guess.

Sure :). Searching for it in native registry shows (XP SP2):
---
DAO.DBEngine.35
InprocServer32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\dao350.dll
---
Then I googled for DAO redistributable.

I tested db1 against current git with 'winetricks mdac28' and also with
'winetricks mdac28 native_mdac' but still had the same CLSID error message.

all interesting error messages done by wine
There is a bugreport around ( http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18987 ),
saying that prototype does not start. this is caused by binkw32.dll (bink
video).
every try to play a binkvideo causes the game to crash. you can actually rename
movies.rcf but this doesn't stop prototype from playing ingame-videos for
telling the gamestory
Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that might help you but I attached the
wine output (there is no backtrace?!?) with
egrep -i ':loaddll:|:ntoskrnl:|:warn:|Unable to|fixme|Backtrace|Unhandled'
if you need the complete log just tell me..but it's ~ 120megs
