The application (on first run) creates the INI files and populates the empty string section with the application configuration (note firstload=1), and in addition it populates sections with "empty string" keys. The PokerStars client is version 3.158 and the installer can be downloaded here: http://www.pokerstars.com/PokerStarsInstall.exe Here's a recipe to reproduce the problem: 1. Download PokerStarsInstall.exe from above 2. Run the installer 'wine PokerStarsInstall.exe' 3. Click 'Next' 4. Agree to the license agreement and click 'Next' 5. Click 'Install' to do an express install 6. Click 'Finish' 7. If any 'News' windows pop-up, click the 'Close' button 8. Click the 'Play Money' tab 9. Scroll down the list until you find a table with more than 2 players and double-click on it 10.
