Summary: Catia 3D view works in real Windows but not in Wine
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.49.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mah(a)jump-ing.de
CC: mah(a)jump-ing.de
Created an attachment (id=9231)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=9231)
Run log, attempting to run the already installed app.
Catia V5R17 installs fine but fails to work in Wine since 3D hardware (OpenGL)
isn't recognized. The same app works on the same hardware with real Windows XP
Professional as well as in Windows 2000 on VirtualPC (no OpenGL at all).
Graphics hardware is Intel GMA X3000, supporting OpenGL 1.4. Catia starts in
Wine, but pops up a dialog reading "No certified OpenGL library has been found.
Check your system installation."
This bug is about to track the behaviour mismatch between Wine and real
Windows. Once this OpenGL issue is fixed, things look promising since Menus and
dialogs appear to work fine already. I'm unsure how to attack this bug,
however.

Hello,
--- quote ---
Please retest in current git. If still present, update version field to
earliest known version of wine that had this bug. Thanks!
--- quote ---
Yes, HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA is still not implemented.
Judging from initial bug reporter date, the version field should be wine-0.9.14
(last GIT tag before report date).
For VC6/eVC installers either use DCOM98 or my gdb proxy script from appdb
(allows to install without DCOM98).
Regards

I'm having some glitches as well in PoP:SoT (in-game characters other than the
prince render messy throughout the game) and would like to submit any logs you
need and/or run tests. I'm quite new to Linux OS, so please state clearly what
commands I need to run. And how can I submit screenshots? Currently using:
ATi Mobility Radeon HD 3470
Driver: FGLRX 2:8:600-0ubuntu2
OS: Ubuntu 9.04
Wine 1.1.35

Hello,
it seems ATMEL fixed COM BSTR double free bugs in newer AVR Studio 4 Versions.
Site with direct download links:
http://www.mikrocontroller.net/articles/AVR-Studio
Wine 1.1.35
AVR Studio 4.18 (build 684) starts (winetricks gecko vcrun6)
AVR Studio 4.10 still crashes (http://www.atmel.ru/Software/files/aStudio4.exe)
Though it might be still worthwhile to implement proper BSTR caching in Wine
(with OANOCACHE=1 environment variable override).
