+quartz,+tid
Hm, yeah, only quartz was enough. Usually quartz fails without devenum, but
works on my gentoo machine with just quartz.
On my Ubuntu machine, I get no sound, even with quartz and devenum. Terminal
output shows a lot of gibberish, not sure where it comes from.
This is from my gentoo machine, with builtin quartz. Native quartz with
winetricks is enough to get the sound working.

After pressing Alt+F9 in Far
In Windows when you press Alt+F9 in Far File Manager it resizes itself to the
whole screen.
In Linux it also resizes the console window, but Far then resizes itself to
80x25, instead of the whole window space.
Screenshot is attached.

Some subprocess of the installer still crashes at end on wine-1.3.6.
To repeat, do
wget
http://download.microsoft.com/download/platformsdk/wmi9x/1.5/W9X/EN-US/wmi9…
winetricks win98
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=wbemprox,wmiutils=n,b wine wmi9x.exe
(You can run unattended with /S, doesn't affect the crash.)
Log shows
wine: Call from 0x7b838b62 to unimplemented function advapi32.dll.WmiOpenBlock,
aborting
The installer still says it finishes ok.
It's not a showstopper, but it still seems like a bug.
Marking 'minor'.

Is it just native quartz that's enough to work around this issue? If yes can
you paste a +tid,+quartz log?

Summary: Using a Depth + Stencil format is causing a memory
leak
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.25
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hpestilence(a)gmail.com
I was having a memory leak with eve-online and found the patch that caused the
memory leak was the added support of depth stencil formats with
commit f8c4832276fb740e527fed87aa27975f91546d26
wined3d: Use GL_DEPTH24_STENCIL8_EXT for depth stencil formats.
I disabled the stencil format in the eve-online options by choosing 24-bit
depth only and the memory stayed stable.
I wasn't sure if this was an ATI driver bug so I'm reporting it here first.
I also tested using a HDR demo from here
http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/rthdribl/
The demo starts with a 16-bit depth first which can be changed to a depth +
stencil format by going to File->Config Display.
