Currently I have not opportunity to create a box with old evironment (libc, gcc,.. etc.) - having working git under this environment :-) At any case problematic commit takes place between 20041019 and 20041201 releases. I can not imagine there were too many changings in MDI-related code during this period, and, I hope, it's a matter of minutes to estimate approriate commits for developers. You should always figure that on your own - from your installed game. Also these days older games are pretty cheap and "bundled to magazines or chips" ;) For example you can find editions like "Golden classic" sold legally with cracked exe!
