Wine Version 1.1.43 (Developer Version Uncompiled )
(os) Linux Version Zorin 2.0 (Ubuntu Based
notes : works same as 1.1.43 but when room loads camfrog crashes
(to get this to work i installed the exe file though wine and saved the
directory to the desk top)
1. can chat and send message in IM, but the box doesn't clear
2. i can get into chat rooms, but they crash after they load
3. shows lines on contacts list (and room lists)
4. dose not recognize my cam just offers a blank box. (yes other Linux
applications recognize my cam)
5. can see my cam in the setting's as a blank box (but not my cam pic)

I don't know. Fixing this bug will not fix #9190, but enabling backbuffers
(generally) enables showing further problems in #9190 (getting z-buffer via
GetAttachedSurface). So feel free to do what you think is right :-)

With wine 1.2 (fedora 13 package), I am able to run Alpha Centauri. The game
seems to be fully functional, but will crash after playing a couple turns.

The game uses a different method (BACKBUFFER + 3DDEVICE), which is a bit more
complicated. The Combat Pillows game uses pure 2D backbuffer and just for
blitting.
