I switched the "windows version" (on Wine config) from windows xp to windows 98 (otherwise I get the error message "unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.IoGetDeviceProperty"), but I cannot bypass this error : "Wrong disk inserted. Please insert the original disk into your CD/DVD drive" It is displayed by wine, on a message box. I have the KDE control bar displayed only on the left screen. When I start MS Word 2007 via wine 1.1.37 and place it on the right screen (which does not have the control bar!) I can see a cut off bottom when I maximize the window via the window manager. I will attach two screenshots: - The first shows a window which fits to the screen as if there was also a control bar on the right screen. - The second shows a maximized window on the right screen with the bottom cut off Note: I also tried to manually resize the window to the maximum of the screen. Tried with the digital distribution version of the game from Gamersgate which contains no copy-protection. A demo version can be downloaded here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_13148.shtml Symptom: the game changing the gamma of the screen when starting, then hangs (no error messages). I have to kill the process and restore the gamma through Nvidia control panel. I've tried both fullscreen and virtual desktop mode, the same hanging occurs. I have decent graphics card and i can play this game on my win xp instalation wthouth issues. But in wine everything works ok, but when i enter the game its too slow to do anything ( around 0.5 - 1 fps), and i need couple of minutes to exit game because game slows down UI. When I try to start the game, I get an error that says: "No CD/DVD-ROM drive found." I have the CD in my drive and OpenSUSE recognizes and has mounted the CD. I'm using OpenSUSE 11.0 with Wine-1.0 (binary).
