BadPixmap
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wolff_brix(a)hotmail.com
I just installed wine-1.2 with the command "sudo aptitude install wine && sudo
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks allcodecs".
Then I ran winecfg to configure wine.
Everything workd do far.
Then I installed a Danish program "Pixeline Lær at stave", it's protected by
securerom.
Then I tried to run this program, it doesn't do anything.
Then I run winecfg to see if everything is correct and now I get the error:
X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap)
Resource id in failed request: 0x48000d8
Serial number of failed request: 920

The strange is, if I log on as my son.
I can start winecfg p with no problem.
My gfx is a Geforce 8800 GT with a resolution to 1024 X 768.
Please advice.

it works!!! I can confirm it really works :-) Thanks a lot Mathias you made it
possible!
I'm using
wine 1.2-0ubuntu1~lucidppa1 on 10.04.1 LTS 32 bit
it spits out tons of:
IConnectionPoint_InvokeWithCancel (0x1708a4)->(0x6c 0x32f8a4 0 0) partial stub
fixme:shell:IConnectionPoint_InvokeWithCancel (0x170944)->(0x6c 0x32f8a4 0 0)
partial stub
fixme:shell:IConnectionPoint_InvokeWithCancel (0x1c4f84)->(0x6c 0x32f8a4 0 0)
partial stub
fixme:shell:IConnectionPoint_InvokeWithCancel (0x1c5024)->(0x6c 0x32f8a4 0 0)
partial stub
fixme:shell:IConnectionPoint_InvokeW
but hey, at least it's usable!
Thanks a lot again

For me on Karmic, with wine-1.3.2-195-ge1b9a5c, I get crash 1, and never can
get past it, even with ddr=gdi, using timidity, disabling audio, etc. I'll play
with it more and see what I can find.

Yes. Present for the last three years, and not fixed since the last guy tested
2 weeks ago (tested w/today's git).

Could you post the terminal output of "wine winamp.exe".
Also try "winetricks comctl32".
