This bug seems to affect only the 2.04 version of Hardwar (The future is
greedy). This is the latest official version of the game.
I can't reproduce the problem with the early, unpatched demo or with the latest
*unofficial* patch (UIM06).
The problem: Hardwar 2.04 starts and plays the intro video/logos fine. Then
comes the initial loading stage and the game crashes when the loading bar
reaches 100%.
Hardwar 2.04 starts correctly in 1.3.30 and up to this commit:
ca43c49968553b3db7d7ef63966b76fcbf9c8a1b is the first bad commit

wined3d: Keep surfaces in sysmem if they're both already there in
wined3d_surface_blt().
The idea is to avoid bouncing surfaces between the CPU and GPU when doing
both
locks and blits on a surface. This is mostly an issue for ddraw
applications.

The patch cannot be reverted on 1.3.33 (compilation ended with errors),
git checkout ca43c49968553b3db7d7ef63966b76fcbf9c8a1b >> the game crashes
git reset --hard HEAD^ >> the game loads to the menu correctly
Fortunately, there is a way to reproduce the crash with the demo, after
patching to 2.04:
1. Download and run the program located in the URL field. The executable
extracts the installer in the user's Temp directory. Run the installer
Setup.exe in Win98 mode.
2. Grab the 2.04 patch here:
http://www.downloads.hardwar.info/ftp/u204/u204patch.zip
Unpack and execute the patch.
3. Start the patched demo by Hardman.exe. The launcher will appear, go to the
Controls tab and change the flight controls from Keyboard to Mouse then change
it back to Keyboard (this will clear the greyed-out force feedback checkmark,
which causes the game to crash if you don't have a joystick installed).
4. Go to the Display tab and change 3D rendering from Software to Direct3D
Primary Display. You can also set the desired resolution here.
5. Click on the Launch... button in the Game tab, and the game will start but
it will crash during the loading stage.

NetUseGetInfo is exported by netapi32.dll but the function is unimplemented -
this causes programs that try to use it (even via dynamic linking) to crash.
NetUseGetInfo should go hand in had with NetUseAdd (stub in access.c),
NetUseDel (stub in access.c) and NetUseEnum (stub in netapi32.c). All 4
functions have their prototypes in lmuse.h.
Could a stub be added for NetUseGetInfo too?

Summary: A Farewell to Dragons: water has incorrect textures

Water is not rendered correctly in the game (no demo available). See attached
screenshot.
As a side effect, character movement and scrolling the screen with the mouse
become jerky when water is nearby. If I move my character away from the water
(so water disappears from the screen and from the minimap) game speed/mouse
movements suddenly return back to normal speed.
The following line is printed out by Wine continuously when water is in sight:
err:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_select >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION
(0x502) from glUseProgramObjectARB @ glsl_shader.c / 4620
If I diverge from water, those lines cease to show up in the console.
Changing (lowering) the textures/shadows quality has no effect on the
appearance of water.
Workaround: disable GLSL (it makes water appear correctly but the unusual
slowdowns are still there.)

Summary: Regression: Uru crashing on startup
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.33
Platform: x86

Classification: Unclassified
After upgrading to wine 1.3.33 (I am compiling wine myself, on Debian testing
64bit, but wine is built as 32bit), Uru [1] stopped working. It now crashes on
startup with some unusable backtrace being shown by the application. The mouse
cursor and keyboard focus is somehow caught inside the Uru window, so I need to
Ctrl+Alt+F2 and kill wine from the outside to use X again - but I think that's
just a consequence of the actual crash.
I did a bisect to 1.3.32, the first bad commit is:
commit f2043352d1bedc31a286facce09d7e644c67b672
Author: Francois Gouget <fgouget(a)codeweavers.com>

I verified that the revision before the given one works, and applying that
change breaks Uru.
