@ Stefan
In installed XP in VirtualBox from my old CD, then this game, and yes, it
worked correctly.
In my view, the value of the old version of the game is that this allows to
find out how good/exact Wine's DIB implementation is and the old version is
thus important. But you know best as an experienced developer.

backtrace from wine, including the last error message before crash
Running Fedora 15; have encountered this on both x86 and x86_64
Gecko 1.2.0 installed
Nothing else is running or installed otherwise.
This occurs after the client retrieved from battle.net downloads the
Launcher.patch.exe and launches it. It seems to be related to the news being
loaded in the patch window.

If a newer version of the game fixes the bug then this makes it a fairly low
priority. It may still be a valid bug, but not an important one. It could also
have been a game bug in the old game - does the game run correctly on Windows 7
or Windows XP?

wine 1.3.21, Ubuntu 11.04 natty narwal
I compiled wine with "--without-xinput" to get around mouse issue.
Bug still present.
Please note that this bug can be properly tested only with some old version,
for example, 1.08, so dinksmallwood108.exe is fit.
DinkSmallwoodHDInstaller.exe uses a new game engine and does not deal with
Wine's DIB in needed way for testing this bug, so do not use this version.
Download and install it. When frontend has been shown up, run the game with
default tick values. The rest of testing is described in comment #16.

Works fine here (mouse is hard to use, but that's another problem)

Causes a regression in Monkey Island 2 Special Edition with an Intel GM45. This
is especially noticeable when activating the audio commentary. The text will
fail to disappear properly and new text will overlap. Also the zooming out
animation is glitchy and parts stay flashing in the screen.

Hello,
I am pleased to notice that you also have entries for "Fotostation" in the
AppDB. There seems to be a Typo at the following address though:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=5991
The application's name should be Fotostation, not Fotosta
Regards,
Maik
