I can run examples from main entry and comment #4 inside the IDE in 1.3.26. I
can also compile both examples with a small fix.
The error happens because vbKeyEscape is not found but this is another bug
because one of the completion libraries was not loaded... Changing it to 27
fixes the problem (although there's an error in the condition anyway allowing
any key press to stop the demo).
Can anyone (specially Dan) retest it?

No, this is the same symptom described in comment 14. This is a result of a
difference between Windows and Linux: in Windows, you need no special
privilege to send ICMP echos, while in Linux you do. We can't "fix" it at
runtime. I believe the current recommended approach is to use something like
xattrs in your filesystem to allow an executable to have CAP_ICMP, but I
haven't tried.

Also effects Thunder7.2.1.3 which is a download manager. run wine as root makes
Thunder7.2.1.3 works. Should I report a separate bug?

Still on 1.3.26. Works as expected on XP detecting the keyboard layout change
but not on Wine.

Comment #18 says bug is fixed. I retested on 1.3.26 and can also confirm it's
fixed.

Tested on 1.3.26, still have the same wrong behavior from comment #14.
