I can also compile both examples with a small fix. The error happens because vbKeyEscape is not found but this is another bug because one of the completion libraries was not loaded... Changing it to 27 fixes the problem (although there's an error in the condition anyway allowing any key press to stop the demo). This is a result of a difference between Windows and Linux: in Windows, you need no special privilege to send ICMP echos, while in Linux you do. We can't "fix" it at runtime.
