This problem exists in WINE 1.3.27 when trying to change the keyboard controls
in Morrowind. The version of Morrowind I'm using is 1.6.1820 (Bloodmoon). My
OS is Kubuntu 11.04 with KDE 4.7.0.
A workaround for the Morrowind specific problem is available here:

With "sh winetricks directplay" I can connect to the server and create my
character in Baldur's Gate 2 but when the game is loading the game crashes.
I have the same version than my friend and the same configuration.

I guess this is a device caps problem. I've downloaded the DirectX 7.0a SDK and
I've started "ddcaps.exe" from it once on WinXP and once on wine 1.3.27.
Indeed, I've found an entry where "3D" was set on WinXP but not on wine. So,
tweaking some caps could help. The source code of "ddcaps" is available in the
SDK.

After retesting everything carefully in latest git I noticed the game is
running exactly like Windows. This bug is fixed.
At first I thought the game should resume music when it gets focused again but
that's not true, the music restarts playing randomly while the games play,
specially when an event happens. I thought it was related to focus but know I
noticed it was due to an in game event that the music resumed playing...
Tested different game speeds and long game plays (>2 hours) and everything is
fine with the game, audio effects and music.
