For example, http://www.kboffset.com/ROCKFLUX/YuleLog05.swf opens fine, but downloading the file to the Wine C: drive gives a blank white screen when it is opened. I did add C:\ and C:\YuleLog05.swf to the trusted folders in the Flash plugin without effect. I am able to open the local file in the Windows version of Firefox 3.0 running in the same Wine environment. This is important to me because I'm trying to run the Windows version of Poser 8, a 3D rendering application, which uses a Flash-based library application. Poser uses a Webkit browser component to host the library GUI. I am able to run the library application separately in a Firefox window, but it is more awkward because I can't drag and drop from a separate browser. We have intranet webpage that requires authentication and activex. The only way to display it on linux is using wine and Internet Explorer which is suboptimal for several reasons. It would be nice if wine-gecko had authentication support, so we could use wine without third party software. I guess the problem is in unsupported ioctl or just lack of floppy images. Debugging can be made easier with a *printf() that uses only a few hundred bytes of stack space, in contrast to the several kilobytes required by the *printf() of glibc. With glibc it is too easy to overflow the stack of only 12 KiB. Note the ? at the end. Looking at the disk, I see that ~/.wine/drive_c/users/dank/Temp/Blizzard Installer Temporary Data - 50ad729f/patch.html definitely does exist at this point. Does the pathway that triggers loading that web page have a string termination problem?
