Summary: World of Warcraft (WotLK installer) cant accept EULA
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.43
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: azureuspt(a)gmail.com
I want to make a fresh install of World of Warcraft. To do so, I downloaded
from Battle.net the new Wrath of the Lich King installer and ran it with wine.
The installer lets you choose which game/expansion you want to download, then
it downloads a small installer that starts the installation of the
game/expansion.
The GUI is the same as using the CD/DVD of Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
You click on install and then choose the languaje packs you want to include.
Next step is accepting the EULA, but it wont show. You get the empty window
with no scrollbar and the buttons bellow "accept"/"reject". Accept button is
unusable, as other WoW instalations I suppose you need to get to the end of the
EULA to be able to activate it.
So... You cant install World of Warcraft this way...
Any hints of any possible patch to be able to pass through the EULA?

Summary: Oxford english dictionary fails to start when ran from
a different partition from the one it's installed on
Product: Wine

If I try to run the Oxford dictionary (2nd edition, version 4) from a separate
partition from the one it's installed on, it fails to start.
The edition I have of the dictionary is a portable one, so perhaps it's best to
avoid saying that it's "installed," perhaps I should just talk of where the
files are located.
The manner of execution can be either from a symlink located on a different
partition, or a keyboard shortcut linked to the executable, or if I manually
type in "wine" along with the destination as argument from a different
partition. In all cases the same error appears.
The error is:
"Uncaught exception
Called from App.hx line 56
Called from Neko/io/File.hx line 50
[file_open,oed.t]"

The Secret of Monkey Island depends on some stubs in d3dx9_36 and fails to
load.
In the console log, there is a loop of these three in particular.
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXEffectImpl_SetTechnique (0x20ed90)->((nil)): stub
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXEffectImpl_Begin (0x20ed90)->(0x33c4f0, 0x1): stub
fixme:d3dx:ID3DXEffectImpl_BeginPass (0x20ed90)->(0): stub
winetricks d3dx9_36 is a workaround.

Bug #: 33798
Summary: Multicast issue. Fail to receive packets from a
multicast.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.6-rc1
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: winsock
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: MaximeSedDev(a)gmail.com

I have an error while receiving packets from a multicast. I think it is due to
the binding differences between POSIX and Windows.
On POSIX platforms, bind() acts like a filter. So when you specify a local
interface (say 192.168.0.1) it only receive packets specifically addressed to
there.
Since the multicast are addressed to a different interface (say 239.192.1.1),
bind() 192.168.0.1 means it won't receive any of them. However it works on
Windows and it means that you only want to receive packets from the local
interface 192.168.0.1. On POSIX, you should bind() 239.192.1.1 or INADDR_ANY
instead to receive the packets.
It seems that these differences are not handle in WINE(I checked on 1.4, 1.5
and 1.6).
A simple way to try this issue is with the msdn multicast sample:
RX: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa454098.aspx
TX: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa454073.aspx
This will work on both Windows and Wine since it use "INADDR_ANY" but if you
specify the interfaces it will fail to receive the datagram on WINE.

WINEDEBUG=warn+all of a dungeon run
This only seem to affect the following objects in dungeons:
- treasure chests
- doors of returning
- some bosses
As far as I know, it seems to be 100 % reproducable for everyone, including the
free demo versions (which can be downloaded at
http://www.carpefulgur.com/recettear/downloads.htm, in case you want to
reproduce this).
Also attaching a WINEDEBUG=warn+all log for a dungeon run in the hope it may be
usefull.
