I see the same. I did: $ rm -rf .wine $ winetricks -q ie7 #workaround installer bugs $ wine wlsetup-custom.exe $ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Windows Live/Messenger $ wine msnmsgr.exe shows that same crash. Interesting, winetricks vcrun2005 doesn't fix it (even if I run that before setup). Just to be sure, I ran WeatherScope 1.3.1 in Windows 7 and it acts differently than in Wine.
