Ok, further info: 1) I can now get the game running in fullscreen mode with a patch ( https://github.com/compholio/wine-compholio/blob/master/patches/winex11-Lim… ) * This seems to work appropriately with Alt-Tabbing (hurray!) 2) With non-fullscreen mode the keyboard doesn't completely stop working, but "Backspace" in particular does not work unless you hold down "Alt" for a short bit. I was testing with the username in the networking dialog, since it was "full" and I could not use backspace there was no way to enter more letters.
