(P.S: it does not crash on 'enter battlenet' click, it crashes just after
starting d2loader, even before the splash screen)

Hi!
I've encountered the same problem with wine 1.7.26. It says "we got a big error
here" and then "R6017 - unexpected …
[View More]multithread lock error".
And I want to say that it mostly worked in wine 1.7.23! Didn't yet test .24 and
.25, but in .23 it crashed only in maybe 1 time out of 20...
Maybe the problem can be fixed at last?

So, the right solution to the difficult shader part of this bug should be to
rise the hard-coded limit of 256 shader constants to whatever your hardware
actually supports (or at least to make this an option to ensure support for
older software). If the hardware limit goes up (which is already happening),
the software shader solution with this software won't be necessary anymore.
If your hardware supports more shader constants, why not use it?

Product: Wine

This looks extremely similar to bug 21133, but it's definitely still happening
in 1.7.20 (and 1.6.x, which I tried earlier).
Installation starts fine, but ends with a dialog giving the above message.
Installs fine on XP, Vista, Win7 and Win8, but fails under Wine.
Any help gratefully received.

the game installs fine (once you skip past all the fatal error warnings).
You then have to apply the ini file workarounds noted in bug 23993
to get it to start.
But it then crashes after a few seconds with a scrambled sort of squawk
from the speakers.
Disabling mmdevapi in winecfg works around this, and lets me play.
