No other packages have been upgraded on my machine (64 bit Arch Linux, fully up-to-date on 18 August 2015). Commands used for installation: export WINEARCH=win32 export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-office2010 wine setup.exe Application version used: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. Legal version supplied by my university. I have also tried an extractable installer downloaded through Bittorrent, this gives me the same error. The error message is probably not very helpful, therefore the terminal logs have been attached, both for the working installation (log_office2010_wine1748.txt) and broken installation (log_office2010_wine1749.txt). When movie should be played the screen is black and there is no music. I have to press any key to go forward. All movies are stored in "MAINDIRECTORYOFTHEGAME/data/FMV" in mpg format. Their resolution is 640x480 with 30 or 25 fps. Audio is coded with MPEG 1 Audio, Layer 2 in stereo with Sample rate 44100 or 48000 Hz with 192 kbps.
