I'm completely new to using wine. After I updated my Mac to OS X, and after steam's update, it hasn't worked properly. So I tried using Wine with an accompanying youtube video. I now have a windows 7 version of steam, but I cannot do much. I can't even search for games with out the message telling me I have a "program error" coming up. If you could help me it'd be great. Before this patch, the game worked almost perfectly. Whenever these freezes happen, this line appears several times in the console: fixme:file:MoveFileWithProgressW MOVEFILE_WRITE_THROUGH unimplemented Most other people doesn't seem to run into this problem for some reason, but I've tried changing all kinds of settings in both trackmania and wine, and the freeze problem persists. Yet, there could be some games out there that make use of the overlay. I have one such a "legacy" game, Fallen Enchantress, which comes with the Impulse overlay, and the game crashes while loading to the main menu, when using built-in dwrite. Disabling dwrite.dll lets the game start properly and the overlay works too. Please let me know if you need a log with specific debug channels enabled. We are trying to make it work under Wine 1.7.47 on SLED 11, but it crashes in gdiplus. Using gdiplus from winetricks solves this crash from the technical point of view, but legally not so much. I'm attaching a debug output from this command line: WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid,+gdiplus wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/SDA/Poszeidon/Poszeidon.exe >> /tmp/poszeidon.txt 2>&1 I hope it helps,let me know if you need some other debug output.
