I've tried with two demos: Descent Freespace demo and IL-2 Sturmovik demo. I've tried connecting the stick before and after Wine starts. In each case no joystick is detected. The stick is detected in USB Prober and works properly in other OS X software, so I know it's generally compatible. The program in question is Entity Creation System 2.0 from Sequoia Games (http://www.sequoiagames.com/ecs).
