I just start the program and I see it is charging picture but after about 15% it crash... I'd used wine on Kubuntu 14.04 LTD for a couple of month without problems, and begin decembre I had some crash by starting Family tree... So I update my OS to Ubuntu 15.10 and Wine to 1.7.44 But now I have this new problem.... I understand nothing in the error report, I hope you will ... When using Wine, I can play Evoland 2 just fine(albeit it lags a lot). When using Wine staging I can launch Evoland 2 but graphics and everything have epilepsy-inducing blinking. (or anything else that was running.) In some cases this causes the application to stop rendering. In other cases the application can not be scrolled back and the application must be restarted to continue use. There is also the possibility that the application can be used normally, although the application may or may not be able to correctly determine the current mouse cursor position. (This makes pop up dialogs impossible to read, some buttons may be unusable, etc.) This seems to occur at any video resolution, for any application. Setting "Capture mouse pointer in fullscreen application" in winecfg does not work. Opening the program by (Gnome) right-click on the executable "Setup.exe" and selecting "Open with...", then "Wine Windows Program Loader". Program shows a "Shoretel Communicator - InstallShield Wizard" window saying "Extracting Shoretel Communicator.msi". Shortly after, that "Shoretel Communicator - InstallShield Wizard" window welcoms the user and indicating that setup is preparing things, but another window appears: "Program Error", saying "The program msiexec.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.", and also saying "This can be caused by a problem in the program, or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check the Application Database for tips about running this application." Pressinf on "Show Details" button in theat "Program Error" window, gives a backtrace log that has been saved and attached here. Also saved the terminal output as per some FAQ indications. Because the performance is not very good yet so that the framerate is low, the game is running in slow motion. I am Using Arch Linux x64 with an Nvidia GTX1080 3GB with proprietary drivers. Some time in the past month or so, FTB stopped displaying JPEG images (photos). I have tested on a Fedora 20 box with WINE 1.7.44 and it works as expected and before the recent change, ran under F22, F21 and F20 for some years. I do not have access to any other versions and a dnf downgrade attempts to go to 1.7.42. The FTB program can be downloaded free from www.myheritage.com/family-tree-builder. After installation, add a person and then import a JPEG image as a photo. In my case, all such images appear as blanks. Launching the application can easily be done, although there are minor glitches with the GUI (The minimise, maximise and resize squares are replaced with question marks), this does not affect navigation of the options. However, the program is effectively useless because pieces cannot be moved and no games may be played, either by telling the computer to make a move, or by doing one yourself. You can click and drag the pieces just fine, but dropping them down to another square results in an immediate "serious problem and needs to close" error. I have an nvidia geforce 680gtx connected to my receiver and tv using hdmi. The program creaters a pseudo-tty in the 'client' redirecting to the printer in 'server'. I can connect to the printer with any other application, except WINE. I read that WINE uses 'setserial' to grab serial port information, perhaps this is the source of my problems as 'setserial' doesn't work with pseudo tty's. Here's the output when i try to run setserial on the pty port: bash-3.1# setserial /dev/pts/2 Cannot get serial info: Invalid argument When I try to access the port with WINE, I keep getting EscapeCommFunction()== FALSE errors. I also tryed to edit kernel32/comm.c and comment out the lines in the EscapeCommFunction section that tries to obtain serial information. On Windows you can see that the program only uses around 0-1% CPU. What is really strange is that when you open the preferences dialog the CPU drops to 2-3%, a much nicer behavior like in windows. There is something clearly wrong because the CPU utilization is excessive, when the program is doing nothing, no animations, no game analisis... I guess that maybe wine is re-drawing constantly some of the sub-windows when there is no necessity to redrawn... On Kubuntu 16.04 the main window of Freegate is not appearing. 1. Get Freegate 7.58 on dongtaiwang.com/loc/download.en.php 2. winetricks -q mfc42 3. run freegate (see attached terminal output) Summary: Kubuntu 14.04 with Wine 1.6.2 and Freegate 7.58 works. Kubuntu 16.04 with Wine 1.6.2 and Freegate 7.58 is not working. Kubuntu 16.04 with Wine 1.9.10 and Freegate 7.58 is not working. Note: I'm residing in China an have no full means to circumvent the Chinese Firewall. The commands winetricks droid winetricks wininet fail to load. My scanner is reported unter Linux as follows: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 03f0:c211 Hewlett-Packard When clicking on "Import" in the Organizer window a new window opens but when I select my scanner the application crashes.
