Word fails to start entirely and offers to start in safe mode which then crashes again. Excel opens but then does not respond. Not sure what is going on but happy to provide any information required. None of the newer versions fixed this. dotnet40 and xna40 installed with winetricks. Using 64-bit wineprefix with wine 3.4 has no problems with Terraria. Running Terraria with wine 3.8, 64 or 32-bit has no sound. Also there are some weird in game bugs, like can't use some items alternate mode with right click, and selecting items in inventory with right click makes the inventory disappear until held down, and rapidly "grabs" items from the stack selected (should able to select 1, but just clicking selects like 3-5). Related to sound : After changing Music volume in-game, it resets to 0%. Sound and Ambient volume not affected. There were no bugs with wine 3.4, and just by downgrading wine these issues are fixed. It doesn't seem to be needed in all setups, specifically not for Wine 1.7.13+ users with NVIDIA proprietary drivers, but if you see a blank screen or graphics corruption, try overriding the following libraries, either manually or through Winetricks: d3dx9_43 -> (native, builtin) d3dcompiler_43 -> (native, builtin) Steam should install the DirectX and Visual C++ redistributable packages automatically, but if for some reason they are missing, That is in the Steam application, it does not have to be copied, or pirated, that I will not allow. Whoever made the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum wins a surprise. A window comes up stating there is a severe error and it has to close now. It worked before 1.7.41. This does not happen, my bug report over there is very inactive. Today i received a mail from the FSF, that today is the software freedom day and i'm encouraged to post a bug report of one of my favourite pieces of software. Trying to correct it reports "We're very sorry but a serious error have occured." [sic] The default stakes are set in the options. In both cases I have left them as the default of 100. 1. "winetricks -q dotnet40" (Bug 37883) 2. Install, run, log-in. (Login required) 3. Pick an arb and click Bet. 4. The total stake will be wildly off and any attempt to change it results in an error.
