Back trace file and terminal output file when newly installed Firestorm runs at
the end of installation.
Due to this issue with the compiled for Linux version of the Firestorm Viewer:
https://community.secondlife.com/t5/General-Discussion-Forum/Objects-I-cann…
It became necessary to run the compiled for MS Windows version of the FireStorm
Viewer under Wine. It was successfully installed both after in winecfg the
installation was set to Windows 7 and also Windows 10 was tried. But the
Firestorm installation does not run in either instance.
The Firestorm installation file was downloaded from this link:
https://firestorm-download-secondlife-com.akamaized.net/Phoenix-FirestormOS…
On this web page:
http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/downloads
The error messages indicate a problem with the graphics card. So I also
attempted to install the Windows version of the graphics driver. This driver
would not install when the installation file was set in winecfg to Windows 7 or
Windows 10. The error message was that graphics hardware could not be found.
The Windows 7 and 8 driver version was downloaded from:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/113442
The Windows 10 driver version was downloaded from:
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/113448#

terminal output of battle.net launch
Since a few days (I'm not sure exactly since when), after a system "apt-get
update", the battle.net client window is fully blacked out. I can hover some
invisible icons but I can't launch HearthStone anymore (which was working fine
earlier).
The login window pops up normally, then after I enter my user/pw, the
Battle.net client comes up but is full of black.
I'm on wine-staging, latest kubuntu 19.04.

Summary: .NET Framework NetNamedPipe with transport security
throws System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Unknown
error (0x80090304)

Hello,
I use WCF on a .NET application of mine and found it crashed under Wine
due to a "System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException", itself
caused by "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Unknown error (0x80090304)".
WCF is commonly used to call remote procedures from different processes in the
same machine or over the network.
After some investigation I found that this is caused by using a named pipe with
transport security enabled (which is the default behavior for WCF).
You can disable the transport security, which will make it work but such is not
always possible, for example I use FiddlerCore, an HTTP proxy and it suffers
from the same problem when SSL decryption is turned on. Meaning you can only
intercept HTTP traffic.
I'll attach a minimal example program that can be used to reproduce this issue,
along with the stacktrace produced and a screenshot.
Transport security can be disabled by replacing the default binding for this:
var binding = new NetNamedPipeBinding
{
Security = new NetNamedPipeSecurity
{
Mode = NetNamedPipeSecurityMode.None,
Transport = new NamedPipeTransportSecurity() { ProtectionLevel =
ProtectionLevel.None }
}
};
This bug looks similar to this one but the error code is different,
so I'm not entirely sure: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46671
I hope this helps.
Regards
