Yes. In wine-9.0-rc5, if I start the launcher:
* no background sound in launcher
* clicking a button in launcher does work (as it did in comment #3).
* there _is_ sound in intro videos
* no sound in playable portions of the demo

If game is run directly, bypassing the launcher, sound works in game.
