Problem with X11 driver

Hi, I have a problem with the X11 driver (it seems), related to bug 1027. When I run my program (Fitch.exe), wine gets stuck. All threads do a WaitForMultipleObjects, the main thread a WaitMessage. And I get an error err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x40af4b04 "x11drv_main.c: X11DRV_CritSection" wait timed out, retrying (60 sec) tid=080b8780 I read the FAQ about critical section errors, and it helped my to get the following calling stack: KERNEL32.DLL.WaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0x16a X11DRV.DLL.MsgWaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0xf3 USER32.DLL.MsgWaitForMultipleObjectsEx+0x14f USER32.DLL.WaitMessage+0x22 WINAWT.DLL.PrintEmbeddedFrame+0x7ca JAVAI.DLL.mmiFrameMethod+0x3625 JAVAI.DLL.mmiFrameMethod+0xb60 COMDLG32.DLL.PrintDlgExW+0x2a2dc0 JPEG.DLL..reloc+0x12e2cb9b *** Invalid address 0xc308c483 (IBMJITC.DLL..reloc+0x1df5f482) (Indeed, Fitch is written in Java - however, unfortunately it is not possible to run it directly under Linux. I also tried to get diagnostic messages from the Java runtime systems, but it seems that all classes are loaded correctly, and then the error occurs.) When I set "Synchronous" = "Y" in the x11drv section of config, everything works, but *very* slowly. Sometimes it takes 15 seconds until a mouse click leads to the desired action. I also played with the other x11drv settings in the config file, but without effect. The documentation says that one should set "Synchronous" = "Y" for debugging purposes. But how proceed then? There eas removed the C++-style struct-initialisation, and replaced by C-style initialisation. The little difference is: My orginal code did set any not explicitely initialialised member of DRAWITEMSTRUCT to zero. The patch now re-includes this. (in C-style) The last few changes are for being able to compile the code with VC++ under native WIN32. This compiler needs the include file <malloc.h> for declaration of alloca(). [If you want to compile it with VC++, you need some more files: drivebar.bmp, images.bmp, toolbar.bmp, winefile.ico, winefile.dsp, winefile.dsw] Cheers, Martin

OpenGL Detection & Keyb Problems

Greetings, I wrote some mails about 3 months ago concerning getting starsiege tribes to work. Due to your help it's playable under wine when using a native (dx5-dx6) dinput.dll, Although the opengl mode cannot be used in game. My questions are following: How can a game actually detect if OpenGL is availabel? I'm not exactly understanding how tribes fail to see my opengl support when other games and demos work fine. I've read alot of other games suffering from the "touch the keyb and game quits" bug, but so far neither Winex or Wine has found any solution. Does anyone else know anything about this bug? native Dinput.dll does make it playable but it's not a valid solution in the long run. This is my output while starting tribes: (running Wine Tribes.exe, all builtin) fixme:console:SetConsoleCTRLHandler (0x60a620,1) - no error checking or testing yet fixme:dinput:IDirectInputDevice2AImpl_EnumObjcets (this=0,40291d88,0x50ec98,0x48e09980,0000000): stub! fixme:dsound:IDirectSound3DListenerImpl_CommitDeferredSettings stub (last repeated forever) Any ideas? Error message

Every time I try to start wine with (for example) wine sol.exe it gives me an error message: "wineserver: fcntl /tmp/.wine-user/server-xxxx-xxxx/lock: Invalid argument" In debug level 2 it says: sock_init: shutdown() causes POLLHUP Anyone know what this can be? Thanks. Dmitry.
