This patch breaks installation of Microsofts MSI 2.0, InstMsiA.exe. During install with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="msiexec.exe=n,b" wine InstMsiA.exe there comes the error: "Installer besitzt keine ausreichenden Berechtigungen, um diese Datei zu verändern: C:\Config.Msi\658-rbf." The file is: sven@linux:~/wine/tools> ls -l ~/.wine/drive_c/Config.Msi/ insgesamt 4 -rw-r--r-- 1 sven users 677 2005-05-24 02:03 657.rbs lrwxrwxrwx 1 sven users 34 2005-05-24 02:00 658.rbf -> /usr/local/lib/wine/msiexec.exe.so I think it tries to modify/remove the linked file. Hello, as you may recall I would like to start playing with SEH macros for winelib (and maybe wine). I have not done any wine development for a year or so, and have not followed the mailing list very carefully. Anyone have any advice for me wrt getting up-to-speed? I am aware of the wiki and will peruse it carefully. Also, I will look through winehq and try to see what is new there. Please let me know if you think of anything else I should definitely be looking at. Also, it seems that my work may involve some autoconf tinkering... I have tried to study up on autoconf in the past, with disappointing results. Does anyone know what is a good beginner's resource for learning the gnu auto.* tools? Thanks! -- gmt

[wintest] tests not executed

Hello, since this week i get a lot more messages "Can't parse subtest output of .." when runnning winetest-latest.exe. The reason seems to be that the test executables with only one test target (e.g advapi32_test.exe) do not longer list its targets when started without target. Now the single target is performed. What is the reason for this change ? Bye Stefan

winetests running on win98, qemu

Hello, I installed windows 98 inside qemu (couldn't get windows xp working) It seems there are a lot of problems, ending with a crash somewhere in msacm (the last line in the created temporary file says acmDriverDetails failed) should I do something? install ie6 & windows updates ? something else? how can I make winetest continue where it crashed? is it ok to run tests with qemu? I should think no functional differences should exist with "real windows" but... I'd really prefer not to have to reboot, or use the other computer, to run tests under windows thanks, regards, Joris
