Fix for the BadMatch error (bug #4945)

Hi, I'v found a way to fix my problem with wglShareLists - BadMatch error (X_GLXMakeCurrent) (see bug #4945). In X11DRV_setup_opengl_visual() (x11drv/opengl.c), I've changed this line: int dblBuf[] = {GLX_RGBA,GLX_DEPTH_SIZE, 16, GLX_STENCIL_SIZE, 8, GLX_DOUBLEBUFFER, None}; to this: int dblBuf[] = {GLX_RGBA,GLX_DEPTH_SIZE, 24, GLX_STENCIL_SIZE, 8, GLX_ALPHA_SIZE, 8, GLX_DOUBLEBUFFER, None}; That is, I choose a visual with a depth size of 24 *and* I also need to set the alpha size to 8. With this small change, I can use my 3d app without problems Does anybody see a problem with this fix? GNUnet fails to locate config file

I am running wine-0.9.12-1.fc4 (rpm) on FC4 using Gnome. Installation of GNUnet[1] for win32 works seemingly well considering the amount of console messages spewed. Didn't really see anything critical to report, mostly ole objects that failed and some window caption problems: fixme:win:SetWindowTextA setting text "GNUnet 0.7.0e Setup" of other process window (nil) should not use SendMessage The real problem appears when I try to start GNUnet, it spews the following: fixme:msvcrt:MSVCRT_setlocale :Codepage only locale not implemented err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {00021401-0000-0000-c000-000000000046} not registered err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {00021401-0000-0000-c000-000000000046} could be created for for context 0x1 fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no classfactory created for CLSID {00021401-0000-0000-c000-000000000046}, hres is 0x80040154 fixme:process:GetProcessWorkingSetSize (0xffffffff,0x7fc6fcf0,0x7fc6fcf4): stub and then repeats the three ole messages a whole bunch. Meanwhile the screen flickers, probably the gui appears then disappears. Finally it complains about the config file: Configuration file `C:\Program Files\GNUnet\etc\gnunetd.conf' not found. Run gnunet-setup! [hk@linux etc]$ pwd /home/hk/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/GNUnet/etc [hk@linux etc]$ l g* -rw-rw-r-- 1 hk hk 2467 May 23 14:15 gnunetd.conf The configuration program does not help and somehow complains about the same thing. Hi, I might be making a configuration module for wine for KDE System Settings based on winecfg as a SoC project for Kubuntu, but I just realized that wine is LGPL and my project would have to be GPL, so I need to know how to reconcile that. Any input ASAP would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Yuriy P.S. If I get to do this project, I hope to help work on wine this summer, so hopefully I will be working with you wine devs more later.

Problems compiling older wine-versions

Hi, i just upgraded to fedora core 5 (from fedora 3) In my old system i had about 20 wine-versions (back to april 2004) installed which was great for tracking down regressions. Trying to compile older wineversions now on my new installation fails with various errors (like wine-20050419 fails with error: union <anonymous> has no member named a_ptr) Even wine-0.9 (first beta release) won't compile anymore. I guess that's due to newer gcc/glibc versions. Is there a (easy) way to get older wine-versions compiling again? Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com

SoC: wince apps on arm

it should be nice to make wine run on arm pda-s and run wince apps. It could be a real good thing for linux on any pda and smartphone... i think.
