XDC 2008 wishlist

Hi, My travel to XDC 2008 is finalized now, I am collecting the topics I should bring up there. I already have these: *) Mouse input handling. I've CC'ed Vitaliy. All I know so far is that Vitaliy said opening the core pointer as XInput device would be good. Vitaliy, do you have any proof of concept code / test apps? Do you have time to discuss the details? I think this is the most important topic, and I don't know anything about it, so I should be well-prepared. *) Tablet support. Dan mentioned something about it, but I have no details. *) Graphics support: I'll talk to the X11 devs about including the wine d3d tests in their driver QA. Lobby for widespread support of some rare extensions(GL_NV_half_float) and help on adding some others, like for the flat shading issue. Others? *) Discuss the opportunities we have with DRI2 Does anyone have other items?

Hello, to keep the code readable, you should put your function in a new file. For instance, d3dx8/mesh.c would be fine (msdn put this functio in the mesh category). Otherwise, the whole code is going to implemented in the file d3dx8/d3dx8_main.c. What is the purpose of the line + ok(TRUE,"prueba"); ? Moreover, I think that this test should be implemented in d3dx8 too. If you want to test the difference between d3d8 and d3dx9, you should duplicate the test in d3dx9 then. David

Hi folks, some user just reported on IRC that the wine.budgetdedicated.com repo is down. Seems like it's dead for over a day already. Do we know what's up with that and do we have an ETA for when it'll be back? New winetricks 20080408: fixed dcom98

Another day, another winetricks release. James Hawkins noticed that installing native dcom98 breaks everything now because it breaks three of the .exe's that wine starts internally. So I've updated winetricks to avoid overriding rpcrt4, ole32, and oleaut32 for those three exe. Once again, dcom98 is your friend. appdb needs to list 0.9.47 in the pulldown, please

Can somebody change the appdb to allow submitting results against 0.9.47? I think that's what Gutsy's bundled version of wine is. Somebody just submitted bogus results (with the wrong wine version) because we lack that option.

Well, this is my first patch. Here goes. It *enhances* winecfg's source and creates a winecfgcpl.cpl, which, when placed into ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 shows the different "tabs" as different applets (six of them), visible via "wine control". 1.) Enhancements to winecfg - now the winecfg accepts new kind of console parameters which determine what tab(s) to show you. For all of you console junkies out there /like me!/ - this means that typing "winecfg audio" shows only the audio tab, "winecfg desktop" - the desktop integration tab and so forth for all six tabs. What "winecfg applications" does I leave to you ;) 2.) Based on the enhancements in winecfg, the .CPL itself. Each *applet* that appears in the control panel, calls winecfg with the appropriate parameter to get the job done. CPL features: -> six icons (drawn by me :D ) -> six control panel applets -> no longer an empty control panel -> translation capability for the Title/Description. Control Panel does not support Unicode atm, so the Bulgarian translation is the same as the English one; but the capability is there. This is what I have produced so far on the winecfg->wine control migration idea. Feedback?
