wineasio 0.7.4

Hi all, The on-going development of wineasio continues with the release of 0.7.4. This release is primarily aimed at fixing a couple of bugs and addressing some JACK xrun issues. AppDB Error, must enter to the "what didn't work" section?

" The following errors were found* Please enter what did not work." I understand the mechanics of why it says that, but realistically, should it for this field, be required to have data? For example, with me running WoW, it's flawless for me. Absolutely no problems, and I'm rating it platinum. If we're rating it platinum should this at least not be required then? Conversely, it should be required as a field, when it is rated anything but platinum, by definition. Just something I noticed.

USB Human Interface Device support

I have a flight sim, PhoenixRC, which I'd like to get working under Wine. As of a couple months ago most of the DirectX problems have been fixed, but the game uses a USB adapter to connect various controllers to the computer. The USB adapter is an HID and is recognized by Linux; however I can't get it to work through Wine. At least part of the problem seems to be that SetupDiGetClassDevs calls SETUPDI_EnumerateInterfaces which tries to open registry keys that don't exist. There isn't an entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses for HID interfaces, in fact that whole set of registry keys seems to be missing. Is anyone working on patches to make this work, or can someone point me to the function(s) that need to be implemented for HIDs to be setup in the registry correctly? I'm not sure when/how those keys are suppose to be created. Thanks, Christopher Berner

(This may sound like a repeat question, but last time I was asking about msvcr71, and thanks to the answers, that's now in winetricks.) Anybody have a good download link for an app that comes bundled with msvcr70 and msvcp70, i.e. one that was compiled with visual studio 2002?

There is one piece of functionality missing before this can go in and that is to do an index of a new record upon creation. If anyone wants to test just apply the patch set and then flip APPDB_ENABLE_NICE_URLS_INDEXER to true and then run: runIndexer.php. Be sure to flip enable indexer back to false before doing anything else =P. You also need to set allow_url_fopen = On in your php.ini. If this is deemed to be unacceptable then we have to functionalize the objectManager.php file so matchByVerbAndTerm can generate similar output. Using url fopen allows easiest integration. After that you should be good to go to test. Essentially less terms will work better and the matching "nice" name depends entirely upon whatever the maintainer entered for the app family name. Let me know if any changes need be made otherwise ill send it in later this week. Regards, John Klehm
