As most of you are probably aware, this year's FOSDEM [1] will take place on February 2 & 3. For me Brussels is close enough that I could decide on the day itself whether to go or not, but I was wondering whether anyone else is planning to attend, would like to attend, or could be convinced to attend. It's probably too late to have a Wine stand or anything of the sort, but if there's sufficient interest it's probably a nice opportunity to meet-up over some drinks, and perhaps talk to some people from other Free Software projects.

I'd be interested!
I was contemplating talking about my qemu work and the ongoing efforts for continued 32 bit support on MacOS in the Virtualization dev room, but the deadline for registering talks has long passed.

I could certainly be convinced, if beers are involved ;-)

I got myself a flight, arriving Friday Feb 1 16:55, leaving Sunday Feb 3rd 19:10.
Any opinions re hotels? The Best Western we had at our Wineconfs there was nice, but a tad bit far away from the conference venture.

I felt it was pretty convenient, and close to downtown. We don't have to all stay at the same place of course, but if I'd say it's a reasonable default choice.

One thing I remembered, if someone is going from USA, can he bring 1 or 2 packs of Wine Stickers from Aric to distribute?
I distributed 1 pack last year, via openSUSE and SF Conservancy tables.
Ciao, Marcus

I'm coming too; likewise I've got a room at the Best Western Royal. Good point about the stickers, I still have a few left but it would be great if anyone could bring more.
Matteo.

As somewhat of an experiment, I've created a room [1] at matrix.org. Perhaps this can help with coordination.

I might have a private conflict, so I am not sure if I will join this years FOSDEM. I will stay with the SUSE peeps near place de la stefanie ;)
Ciao, Marcus
I will also be attending, but won't be staying in Brussels.

I am unsure if Huw or anyone from around him is attending but he has our official Europe supply of stickers. If not the. I can try to send some from Minnesota to someone going.
