WineConf 2010 is taking shape: the date has been set and we are now in the final stages of picking the venue.
The host city: Paris
The date: Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of November
So mark the date in your calendar and start booking your plane tickets; this will be the place to be for Wine developers.

As I understood the hotel website, a twin room (seperate beds) costs as much as a single room using the 3-night-package? If so, anybody willing to share a twin room with me (non-snorring preferred ;)) from Friday to Monday (Sunday would work, too, probably; just leave earlier)? That would cut the cost to some awesome 35 €/night.

Yes, in France all hotel prices are per room. The hotel confirmed to me that all their rooms either have a bed for two or twin beds. So sharing a room is definitely possible, and not just for the 3-night-package.

Well, I do like ping-pong as a sport but not in wikis/development/etc. The correct approach should be a) sort out what to do; b) do it. No? ;)

Dmitry, I'm afraid I have to disagree sharply. I don't see any reason that the Wiki page should be formal. I find it nice when people post their personal information; their arrival times and cell phones and so on. Information about a hotel room bed available strikes me as just the sort of info that is useful.
Obviously, at this point, I don't know that it matters, but I would appreciate it if you would treat this as an *informal* page from this point forward.
There is a reason we call it the Wine *party* fund...

Perhaps I'm paranoid, but names associated with e-mail/street addresses, phone numbers, room numbers, amount of money paid, arrival/departure dates, etc. are the personal data most people would prefer to share *only* with their friends/ relatives and nobody else.
