by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Sept. 8, 2011

Sept. 8, 2011

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28293 Summary: WoW - Black Login Screen & crashes after logging in & Buggy Characters Screen Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: j.gradenegger(a)gmail.com Hey there, I'm using OpenSuse 11.4 x86 with Wine 1.3.27 and now I've got some problems with World of Warcraft. Actually I had WoW on Linux before and I know what to do, but I never had such bugs before. When I start WoW from my Terminal, there is just a Black Screen with the Login Boxes and the Logo, including some kind of flames. (My first thought was about the user-rights but not even sudo helped.) http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/4862/bildschirmfoto1wg.png <- There is a Screenshot of the Login-Screen Well after logging onto my Account you get into the Characters-Screen. I would call it "Ghost-Mode". My Character isn't displayed correctly. I can just see his Shoulders. http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/5813/bildschirmfoto2a.png <- "Ghost-Mode" Finally after logging in, I get an Crash message http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9213/bildschirmfoto3q.png <- Crash (It's German and I'll translate the Error Message to you: The program Wow.exe caused some major issues and has to been closed immediately. We are sorry- Bla bla bla) The errors I get by the Terminal after killing Wow doesn't help me in any kind. I think the error has something to do with the user rights or maybe my World of Warcraft is just buggy. [Bug 28052] New: Sims 3 slow then crash
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Sept. 8, 2011

Sept. 8, 2011

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28052 Summary: Sims 3 slow then crash Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: ajz4242(a)yahoo.com I finally got Sims 3 onto my Linux computer. Once I got it running it took about two hours to get to the main menu, then when I tried to start a game, it just crashed all together. When it was starting up the audio was a bit faster than the video (which was slower than continental drift). The audio stabilized once the main menu appeared, but video still was far behind. The odd thing was my cursor was moving at normal speed. Anyway, I was told that there might be an issue with wine using some 3D specification, and I had several windows pop up that said something about wine, then the last one said that it could not start the program at wine's fault. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27758] New: GLSL for FGLRX (amd/ati binary driver) very often fails across various games with various effects
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Sept. 8, 2011

This error from Portal 2 looks like a more isolated case of the swath of errors I got trying to play Civilization 5's demo. It may be related to whitespace/comments that the AMD/ATI GLSL compiler isn't tolerating; but I'd like to collect more data that may be useful for the developers to isolate the problem in greater detail. fixme:d3d_shader:print_glsl_info_log Error received from GLSL shader #5: fixme:d3d_shader:print_glsl_info_log Vertex shader(s) linked, fragment shader(s) linked. [Bug 28183] New: wine always writes 7 bytes of trash to stdout
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Sept. 8, 2011

Sept. 8, 2011

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28183 Summary: wine always writes 7 bytes of trash to stdout Product: Wine Version: 1.3.12 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: sweet_f_a(a)gmx.de Hi, Wine always writes 7 bytes of trash to stdout: $ wine whatever.exe |head -c 7 |hexdump -C 00000000 1b 5b 3f 31 68 1b 3d |.[?1h.=| These 7 bytes are always the same and don't belong to the regular application output regardless which particular .exe is used. IMO this is a critical bug because there are console tools with stdout output only (e.g. tr). These tools are all unusable with wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
