The text box at the upper left of the window should show two lines of text. Running under Wine, it's only one line high and the scroll buttons at the right side consequently appear squashed. Run stellar2.exe. It draws one-pixel wide vertical rectangles. Under wine, the bottom-most pixel is not drawn. I'm attaching a sample program. Under Windows7 (have 64bit pro), the red line is touching the black baseline and the black line on the right is touching the baseline also. When I run the program under wine, both the red vertical line on the left and the black vertical line on the right are floating one pixel above the baseline. I tried both 32bit Ubuntu 11.04 (wine 1.2.2) on a netbook and also Fedora 15 64bit (wine 1.3.21) under Virtualbox on my Windows machine. Both have the same problem. When using the buttons on the Main Toolbar the icons which occasionally disappear and overall 3D performance is rather slow. You can mouseover the icons and they will reappear, but it isn't overly practical... Attached is a log. The others have the correct appearance and cursor but do nothing. (This is unfortunate if the first character is a newline!) The problem appears when gdi text is drawn with font rotation *and* display context rotation. The problem do not appear when either font rotation or display context rotation is zero. The application uses CreateIndirectFont to set a fixed size font with optional set rotation and draws the text with TextOut(). The display context rotation has been set with SetWorldTransform(). We tried to find a test case application, but where not able to reproduce the problem outside the application. They are probably related so I'll describe them all here. One program which shows these problems can be downloaded from http://cd.textfiles.com/infomagic/imagic4pak5/disk3/Miscellaneous-Utilities… Run ebot_einstall.exe then click Next to show the license agreement. The agreement is in a text field/box with a scrollbar to the right. First issue: The view is initially positioned at the bottom; it should be at the top. (The flashing cursor/caret at the end of the text is also present on Windows. It seems Wine sets the initial view position so the caret is shown, whereas Windows does not?) Second issue: Move the mouse pointer outside the window and click to de-activate it. Move the pointer back over the ebot_einstall window (not over the text box) and click to activate it. Notice how all the text is now highlighted; it shouldn't be. Third issue: Run ebot_einstall.exe and click Next. (At this point, the contents of the text field are not highlighted.) Click and drag the scrollbar knob upwards. Notice how the text field immediately moves to show the top of the document, and the view position remains there as you move the knob up and down. If you release the mouse button when the knob is half-way down the scrollbar, it jumps back to the top. Fourth issue: After doing the test in the third issue above, move the mouse pointer so it's about 3/4 of the way down the scrollbar. Click the mouse button repeatedly. Notice that the text in the box pages down each time, but when the scrollbar knob is under the mouse pointer, clicking again causes it to jump back to the top. (On Windows the knob does not move in that case.) Thus clicking over and over causes the view to cycle down a page then back to the top again and again. Fifth issue: On Windows, when you page the view up or down by clicking in the scrollbar above or below the knob, the view moves by one line less than a page. For example when paging down, the view moves so the previously-lowest visible line becomes the uppermost visible line. On Wine, the view moves by a whole page each time. Sixth issue: On Windows, pressing the Page Up or Page Down key causes the view to move by a page (less one line as mentioned above). In Wine however, pressing those keys causes the caret to move. Press PgUp/PgDown until you're roughly in the middle of the document. Then press PgUp/PgDown alternately.
