When pressing the launch button, the games simply do nothing and sit there stating they're running or state they're running for a few seconds and the message is gone. I've tried running Warcraft 3: Reforged from the terminal and all I receive is a failed to initialize ClientSdk.dll. Haven't tried this for other games. I've tried a clean install but it gives the game result. Whenever I revert back to wine-staging-5.0 the games start fine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. It re-launched with a completely black window. By right clicking on the tray icon, you can select the settings, and disable "Use browser hardware acceleration". After re-launching, the new (imo ugly---a completely irrelevant, off-topic comment for this bug report) Battle.net UI is visible. It's almost completely functional---but not all re-draws of the window seem to be captured, resulting in a much of the window being completely black. Moving the window or highlighting buttons prompts a re-draw. As a note: originally I didn't think to access the settings menu from the tray. I was still able to start, e.g. Starcraft 2, by running SC2Switcher_x64.exe directly. It plays perfectly fine. When you play in windowed mode (or with dual-screen) it is really annoying (and causing eyestrain) when the gamma value is too high. This profile is set by xcalib and shouldn't be mindlessly messed with. I could not determinate a pattern as to which programs do this. It seems games are especially prone. A simple test case: Get xcalib, and use it to set some random color profile, such as with xcalib -a -gc 5 Get CPU-Z. There is a simple no-installation zip available. This error massage appeared a few weeks ago and I tried a lot of work-arounds but nothing's changed. In playonlinux the installation goes to the login panel but there's another error: Battle.net Helper.exe encountered a serious problem. The default "password" area isn't recognised when typed into. There is an override in place for US logins but not for EU logins. Does load the launcher by default as "europe", though still does not give the override. > Typing in the password like 100 times to see if the override was something that proc'd from failed attempts on US. Hasn't worked. When occured: The Blizzard App ran an update about a week or so ago, it bugged out around this time. It threw all users of the application "out" of being signed in. Both on US and EU after the update. Upon signing back in I received this error, I assume from a GUI override update. A new game has been introduced to the application, which is not directly linked to Blizzard Entertainment, so I assume the integration of the new Destiny PC players accounts, put an issue in the coding for Wine under EU? Currently, using the Blizzard App on US works fine. Though after a week of trying, waiting to see if it just fixed itself, I still cannot use it to sign into the EU interface. I can still sign onto my EU WoW account through the US interface. So there is no rush, its just a minor hindrance. Does not affect gameplay of any of Blizzard's games.
