Reproducible in the demo and the Steam version as well. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1690/Space_Empires_V/ The game displays an in-game window when such a file is about to load: 'File Missing - Could not load file: c:\program files\strategy first\malfador machinations\space empires v demo\pictures\models\ing_01.bmp' followed by 'Could not load file: c:\program files\strategy first\malfador machinations\space empires v demo\pictures\models\p01.bmp' As a result, some planets are displayed without textures. Note, the actual files that the game is trying to load are 'ring_01.bmp' and 'RP01.bmp' and they do exist in the given directory, but the first character of the filename is truncated by Wine for some reason. Starting from wine 6.12, Battle.net application takes a lot of time to start (more than 5 minutes). When started, it does not render content. Sometimes, after several attepmts to reload, the content is rendered. The issue persists in 6.13 and 6.14 too. I tried to install in fresh prefix, but with 6.14, after more than 10 minutes in state "Updating Battle.net update Agent", I gave up. With 6.11, installation completed in about 1 minute. [Reproducer] 1. Start redshift and ensure it entered sunset color. Better use -l LAT:LON to fake that you are in somewhere sun is already set. Default redshift will use randr backend to reset the color temp, so no extra setting is needed to reproduce. And default redshift will use 5500K for daytime and 3500K for nighttime, so the color temp change will be quite obvious. 2. Start wine GUI program I'm using Startcraft2 an galgame called "月に寄り添う乙女の作法2", both of them cause the display color temperature reset for several seconds. This prevents applications from navigating the device tree to find parent USB devices for HID devices. A .NET application (KNX ETS 6.4) uses the following pattern to identify a USB license dongle: 1. Enumerate HID device interfaces via SetupDiGetClassDevs 2. For each HID device, call CM_Get_Parent to find the parent USB device node 3. Read the parent USB device properties (VID/PID) 4. If matching, open the HID device Since CM_Get_Parent always fails, the application never identifies the dongle even though Wine correctly enumerates it as a HID device. A minimal implementation that maps HID child devices to their USB parent devices (by replacing the "HID\" prefix with "USB\" in the device instance ID and looking up the result in the registry) resolves the issue. Additionally, SETUPDI_EnumerateMatchingInterfaces in devinst.c adds devices to the device info set even when they have no matching device interfaces. This causes SetupDiEnumDeviceInfo to return phantom devices that are not present, breaking applications that assume device and interface indices are synchronized.
