Run `wine Evolution-The-Game-of-Intelligent-Life_Demo_Win_EN.exe` 2. Run `LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 wine 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Discovery Multimedia\EvoDemo\EvoDemo.exe'` LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 is necessary to avoid a DirectDraw DDERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY error. In Wine 8.4 and before, the game shows three error dialogs on start that say "MEM_BAD_HANDLE" and then one more when you start the game, but the game is playable. In Wine 8.5 and later, the game shows one error dialog on start that says "SmartHeap error handler recursively re-entered."
