Reading the DACL back (via either `GetSecurityInfo()` or `GetNamedSecurityInfoW()`) returns the original unchanged DACL. This also affects `SetNamedSecurityInfoW()`. ## Impact on MSYS2 The MSYS2/Cygwin runtime implements `chmod()` by translating POSIX mode bits into Windows ACL entries and calling `NtSetSecurityObject()` (which `SetSecurityInfo` wraps). This differs from native MSVCRT behavior and from other C libraries (glibc, etc) which handle this correctly.
